According to a study published in the journal Frontiers in Endocrinology, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFC) develops due to iodine deficiency and thyroid problems, which are caused by iodine deficiency.
Patients with CFC were tested, the results of which showed that both people with this disease and people with a lack of thyroid hormones have similar blood composition. In both cases, patients had reduced levels of the two main thyroid hormones - T3 and T4. In addition, they were characterized by increased levels of thyrotropin hormone, which causes an increased "consumption" of iodine by the thyroid gland. It can be concluded from a study by Dutch experts that consumption of sufficient amounts of organic iodine is an effective way to treat and prevent chronic fatigue syndrome.
